Reports of attacks by an unknown wild beast have brought the Superheroine Vertiga to investigate. She finds some halfman-halfbeast in a cage and then is confronted by a menacing stranger. Vertiga uses her powerful vertigo ability but the man is able to resist. Suddenly Veritga is paralyzed with fear as the man reveals his power.
The evil Alchemist has been using his potions to reek havoc. Lethal Lynn has gotten the upper hand on him in his lair, but he uses his petrifying powder to freeze her in her tracks. He poses and gropes her gorgeous body before having more fun with his orgasm oil.

The fight is short and viscious but the Guardian wins and forces Ne’andra on to her news to perform her service.

Paladin and Amethyst are sneaking in some late night sparring in an unfinished training room. Drill Sergeant Malice comes in and sends Amethyst to the seet the commandant. Paladin is supposed to graduate tomorrow and become a government sanctioned and sponsored superheroine. He orders Paladin to do a training match with her and she obeys and realizes her powers aren’t working. It seems like Sgt Malice has one innate power- to negate other peoples innate powers. It also turns out Sgt Malice, through training and government experiments, has nearly superhuman speed, resilience and strength. The fight goes badly for Paladin and her last thoughts before going out are that this seems way beyond training.
Night Force wakes up to find she is hanging in some kind of cave or sub-basement and gets a bucket of water thrown in her face. Romeo is there with two camera weilding goons. She is told that she is going to be tortured and punished for the humilaiton and pain she caused Romeo who now goes by the name Stich.
Crimson scopes out her fellow agent’s house. She’s fully aware that the request she got to come over is almost certainly a trap, but the superheroine is too cocky to realize that she may not actually have the upperhand here. All is clear as she makes her way further into the house. She never even sees the masked man until a cloth is in her face. But even then, Crimson isn’t terribly worried. It’s not the first time a bad guy has tried to put her out this way. But something’s different this time. When Crimson realizes her powers aren’t working, her heroic resistance quickly turns to a panicked struggle to keep her eyes open. When she’s out like a light, the masked man easily throws her over his shoulder and carries her upstairs.
